My name is Basik. I am a male Basset Hound, approximately 8 years old. My owner was unable to care for me any longer and I ended up wandering on the streets of Moscow. Some friendly neighbors picked me up and have given me a temporary home, but they cannot keep me.
I am very friendly and intelligent, have been trained (know commands, in Russian of course) and am house trained. I am a typical basset and proud of it (if you know Bassets, you’ll know what I mean).
I am very good with people and older children but for some strange reason do not seem to like very young children a lot (maybe I’m a bit afraid of them).
Even though the people who rescued me are very nice to me, I would love to find a new owner who would like to give me a permanent home and lots of doggy love!
If you would like to meet me please contact Marina (Russian only) at 194-82-01 (home) or 769-23-69 (mobile). Please mention that you are calling about me, Basik the Basset. If you don’t speak Russian and are interested in me, you can call Barbara at 763-00-12 (English, German) or send an e-mail to
If you know of someone who would enjoy my company but cannot afford to feed and take care of me, Marina and her friends will provide financial assistance (food, medical care etc.) for me.
